This module mounts the ultra-low quiescent current 5V output step-up DC-DC converter TPS610997 (Texas Instruments Inc.).
The TPS610997 has a very low quiescent current of approximately 1 µA and operates from 0.7 V, making it suitable for applications powered by a single coin cell battery or 1 or 2 alkaline, nickel-cadmium, or nickel-hydrogen dry cell batteries.
In addition, the TPS610997 can be shut down via an enable pin, and during shutdown, the load is disconnected from the input power supply, thus reducing current consumption.
